Saturday Styling: Lulu & Georgia

Although its coming to an end, this has been an incredible summer. I’ve spent a ton of time traveling, making memories with friends, building my business and just doing life! The best part about it was having most of it take place in our newly refreshed dining area.

Early in the summer, Lulu and Georgia reached out to me in efforts to collaborate! Being the huge fan that I am, it was a no brainer to say YES! I was given a budget and free reign of their website and told to pick out some product that spoke to me. It was the perfect opportunity to give my neglected home some summer loving!

I knew I wanted to spruce up the dining area. It’s the landing spot of almost every guest that comes over….especially my girlfriends. It’s where all of our chats happen, almost like our own little version of Red Table Talk. I wanted the space to be a summer gathering spot for all of us to sit, talk and enjoy a glass of rose to two.

The first thing I looked for was a new rug. I knew I wanted to bring in something with a ton of color and that felt different from what we had currently.

I fell in love with one of L & G’s best sellers, the Empress rug. Do you see this color!?

I knew that the saturated jewel tone would inject a whole new feeling in the space and I was so right! It feels so fresh and rich combined with the walnut table! And the fact that it has an almost vintage feel makes my design loving heart sing!

Once I nailed down the rug, I started my hunt for a statement light fixture. Light fixtures are one of the fastest ways to change the mood of a space and I wanted to bring in all the summertime fun I could. Enter stage right the Justina Blakeney Fela Tassel Chandelier

The look was completed with these chartreuse Maryion vases. The perfect pop of color.

The pieces came together to create the look I envisioned: a girlfriends’ gathering oasis!
