My Winter Wardrobe Wishlist

Hey friends! Happy Wednesday! I know this is a late post, but after so many of you asked for the list that you missed in my Instagram stories the other day, I thought to give it a presence on the blog! Here’s what I’m hoping to add to my wardrobe this winter and for many winters to come!

This list has been built over the past several months, but my search for a long camel coat has been on-going for at least the past 2 years! I would hit every major retailer hoping for a wool or wool blend, calf-length, over-sized, double breasted, none belted coat for less than $200. What I found was…it didn’t exist! I found several of them in the $500- $4000 range.

A gorgeous coat that I could never afford…even when I can afford it!

Two years into my search of retailers and local thrift shops, I finally remembered that some of the most amazing camel coats are those that are vintage….and vintage is just as readily available online as regular retail! I remembered to check Poshmark and came across one that I’m super excited about, but I’m not sharing until I actually pull the trigger! (c;

So, a bulk of my list is shoes…as if I have a shortage on shoes! But honestly, I do! I’m short on those staples, not only for winter, but period! These shoes will get me through almost every season, but will totally elevate any winter look without question!

Over the knee boots: There are sooooo many options out there! I can’t decide if I want flat ones or a style with a heel. If I go with a heel, do I get a chunky heel or or a thinner heel? Rounded toe or pointy toe? I seriously can’t decide! If you have a fav, I’d love it if you link it in the comments below! I’ve got my eye on these two.

The rest of my list, and my choices, are pretty straight forward! I know exactly what I’m looking for for everything else…especially since I’ve had some of these picked out for a while now!

Getting into tops, I’m keeping my list pretty basic. These will be classic go-tos for several years to come.

The oversized white button down goes with everything! Can be layered over a cami, worn tucked into any denim bottom or worn alone as a dress! I always opt for a great men’s version to get the look I want.

I have two of these ‘perfect’ turtlenecks from J.Crew and they literally are PERFECT! Getting more, especially this grey!

When it comes to bottoms, I’m completely covered when it comes to denim, so I’m focusing on leather (or faux leather). I’m in a phase of my life where I prefer a high waist fit on pretty much everything from leggings to trousers to skirts. It’s just a more flattering fit for my body and the cinching effect gives me a nice boost of confidence too.

Finally, dresses! Dresses are probably the hardest working article of clothing women can own! You can wear them almost every season. You can tuck them in and wear them as a top or throw a tshirt over them and wear them as a skirt! There’s nothing better than a good dress! I already have some good ones, but I have these on my list to round out my wardrobe!

Zara Taffeta Mini Dress would look great with a turtle neck and boots or with strappy saddles in the summer!
