Design Reveal: HGTV Urban Oasis 2024
It’s finally here! HGTV has opened the doors for Urban Oasis 2024, a newly remodeled, fully furnished home located in Kansas City, Missouri, and now you guys can see all the beauty that the team and I created!
The three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home, constructed by (WOMEN-owned) Astoria Design Build, LLC, features a perfect blend of modern design and warm, natural elements. I wanted to celebrate the vastly layered culture of Kansas City in the design, from music to art, even its fountains!
This modern architecture took on a Scandinavian feel, so I wanted to balance it with lots of warmth and texture and incorporate the perfect combination of boldness and natural colors.
The home spans approximately 2,200 square feet and includes an open concept first floor for the living room, kitchen and office. The second floor boasts a music-inspired lounge with skylights and a snack bar and all three of the bedrooms. And the big bonus is the basement that houses a versatile wellness lounge equipped with a gym, sauna, and tea bar that can easily be used as a secondary office or movie room, thanks to the huge projector! But the true “oasis” of the home is the outdoor space out back! There’s lounging and dining areas on the deck that truly extend the livable square footage and a cozy fire pit area in the lower yard. The yard is lush and vast and can totally be seen as one of the reasons we picked this home!

The full home will be revealed in a one-hour special, “HGTV Urban Oasis 2024,” at 6 p.m. Central on Oct. 4 on HGTV and HGTV Go and will stream on Max and Discovery+ the same day and I can’t wait!
