Smoked Rosemary Crisp

We love a good bourbon cocktail, so this Smoked Rosemary Crisp Cocktail from Episode 1 of Crafts, Cocktails and Conversation is perfect for the Fall and Holiday season. A simple and refreshing flavor, you’ll want to make this signature cocktail for your next get together at home.

Smoked Rosemary Crisp

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces of bourbon

  • 2 ounces of apple wine

  • Brûléed apple slices (we used brown sugar)

  • Smoked rosemary sprig

Tips for brûléeing your apples:

  • Remove excess moisture from fruit to prevent it from soaking up the sugar.

  • Slice your fruit before brûléeing to prevent the apple from cracking or the sugar falling off.

  • If you’re using a kitchen torch, do not add sugar to a new piece of fruit until you finishin brûléeing it to prevent the sugar from dissolving.

  • Don’t have a kitchen torch? Use your oven! To do this, place your apple slices on a sheet tray and top with sugar. Cook in the oven on a high broil for 5 minutes (watch closely).

Combine the apple wine and your favorite bourbon into a large glass with ice and stir to perfect the flavor. Add this yummy mixture to a lowball glass and garnish with apple slices and rosemary sprig.

Enjoy!
