Reno My Rental: A Closer Look at Episode 4

Hi friends! Happy Sunday! I didn’t think Episode 3’s response could be topped, but you guys loooooved Episode 4 of my Discovery Plus show #RenoMyRental! My favorite compliment of all time is “they just keep getting better!!!” Since it’s Sunday, I’m back with pics of details from Melanie and Henry’s soulful, cultural retreat and their twins’ fun, playful and inspiring new bedroom!

Here’s how they started!

Using my own bedroom as inspiration, we reupholstered their burgundy pleather headboard with a new cotton canvas that I then hand-painted with a mud cloth inspired design. We gave their estate sale dresser a new look with the help of black chalk paint and tomato paste (to shine up the hardware)! And I had my build team build out a removeable accent “wall” of three slatted panels painted in Sherwin Williams Spicy Hue. I absolutely love how it came together!
