Page Turners: Books I Can't Forget
Calling all the book worms!! I often get asked for book recommendations, so I wanted to share a few of the books that have made a huge imprint on my growth journey.
Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon
This sounds crazy but this book is a great "back of the toilet book". Every page has something of value and pushes creatives to get out of their own way.
The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison
This fiction book is an emotion-gripping read on race and class, even though it's not about race and class.
This was the first book my dad told me to read as an adult. Total game changer!! It changed my entire perspective on what success looks like.
Think Like A Freak by Steven D. Levitt & Stephen J. Dubner
This book was also suggested by my dad. It's a great read on changing the way you look at problems and how you solve them.
Unapologetically Ambitious by Shellye Archambeau
This book was a suggested read by Brandice Daniel, a mentor in my head. This book was a great lesson in women in leadership roles and how much audacity it takes to lead.
