Personal Style Files: LWD (Little White Dress)
Everyone needs a LWD (little white dress) and this Button-Front Mini Shirtdress from Madewell is one of my new summer staples! Memphis Summers are HOT. The heat and humidity here are unmatched, so the goal every day is to get dressed in a way that you don’t pass out from heat stroke, but you still look cute and put together.
My schedule can be all over the place some days, so a dress like this one is perfect for that. I can keep it casual with flat sandals and my favorite sunnies, but if I wanted to dress it up, I can easily swap them out for heeled sandals or boots and a statement necklace or accessory (think neckerchief or colorful handbag).
Come Fall, this shirtdress can be layered under a denim or moto jacket, so it’s a very versatile piece to own. Whether you’re going to work or brunch with friends, it’s great to have a LWD around when it’s hot and you need a “one and done” look.
