Lighting Upgrades with Bulbrite Solana
No matter your style preference for decor, everyone should consider lighting to be one of the most important design principles for any space. Lighting not only effects our sense of sight and how well we see, it also effects our mood, how we see color, our perception of space and even how well we function. We have amazing natural light in our home, but have struggled to get certain rooms up to par when it comes to ambient or task lighting. Thankfully, I had the opportunity to partner with Bulbrite Solana to change that.
Bulbrite Solana is simple, customizable and smart solution for leveling up your lighting…and I mean that in every literal sense you can think of. LOL! More on that in a second.
A lot of you may know that I’m working to turn the space that used to house our pool table into a new office space, now that I work from home. In the daytime, this area gets tons of amazing natural light from the 2 story windows. However, at night, it’s so hard to get the lighting levels right to even be able to use that side of the room. Before Bulbrite Solana, I had some over-sized, incandescent globe bulbs in this fixture. I didn’t realize it when I bought them, but 4 of them were a bright natural colored light and 2 of them were a very dim, warm, yellow light. The mix looked awful when it was lit and it wasn’t bright enough to be functional, so I basically never turned them on.
When the opportunity to work with Bulbrite came along, I knew I still wanted a globe shaped bulb, but one with better coloring and better wattage. These smart LED globes not only were the look I wanted, but came with a laundry list of luxuries!
Not only were they the perfect shape, but these and all of the other smart Solana bulbs are
Fully Dimmable
Tunable White
Can be set to create scenes
Can be scheduled on a timer
With the help of the Bulbrite Solana app, you can change how bright or dim the bulbs are, customize them to how warm or cool in color you want them to be, set the mood with special scenes when the ambiance needs to be just right and, even, set a schedule for your lights to turn on or off, brighten or dim, or be set at just the right scene for specific times in your day.
And it’s so easy to use! No need for an electrician at all. You simply download the Bulbrite Solana app, replace your old bulbs with your new smart bulbs and then follow the instructions in the app! Just click here to see how it works!
Once the app “discovers” your bulbs, you’re all set to start customizing all you want!
Everything worked so perfectly in the office area that I had to try it out in our lamps in our bedroom.
Since these are covered by glass, I didn’t need the decorative globe bulbs. I just went with the standard frosted LED bulb. Standard only in shape, these guys come with the exact same bells and whistles as all the rest.
I got them installed and got them on, but had a little trouble getting them to connect to the app.
Once I got them connected though, I lost the connection with one of them. Turns out, this lamp was too far away from our modem and couldn’t stay connected to the wifi.
Before losing connection, I was able to get them to the color and brightness I wanted, so they’re perfect even when having to turn them on manually. We decided we’re going to move the modem a bit more centrally in the house so that the signal reaches. Once we do that, I’ll be back to customizing the ambiance for the room that would benefit from it the most. (c;
One thing I should mention is that you can totally connect your new smart bulbs to any smart home device, like Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. We don’t care for these whole home systems (call us conspiracy theorists), but if that’s your thing, using and customizing your new smart lighting would be that much more convenient!
You can pick up or order your very own Bulbrite Solana bulbs from places like Amazon or Home Depot. To see other sellers and what stores you can pick them up from, just click here!
