Hand-Painted Nutcrackers

Decorating your home during the holiday season is always fun, and for Episode 3 of Crafts, Cocktails, and Conversation with Carmeon Hamilton, we hand-painted Nutcrackers! Frances is an amazing artist, so it only made sense for our craft to involve paint! Thankfully, the wooden Nutcrackers we used come pre-assembled, so the hardest part is already completed for you.

Here’s what you need:

  •  Wooden Nutcrackers (varying sizes)

  • Acrylic Paint

  • Paint Brushes

  • Butcher Paper (to cover the table)

  • Spray Paint

  • Yarn + other accessories

  • Lacquer Spary (optional) to make them shiny

  • Hot Glue Gun

They’re very easy to paint, so honestly, just let your creativity guide you as you select your colors and accessories. The Hamilton Home holiday aesthetic leans into neutrals (black, cream, gold, etc.) so we kept with that aesthetic for our Nutcracker.

Imagine all of the different color combinations you could make!
