Girls Day In | A Spa Day with Bolden Skincare
When your long-time go-to skincare brand offers you and your girls a spa day experience, you don’t hesitate to take it!
Bolden is a skincare brand that was created by Black women for women of color, and I’ve trusted the brand for the last 4 years with my face (I restock their products religiously and it’s the only thing I use on my skin). Life has been CRAZY busy the last few months, so it was high time for a pause for some self love and fellowship. Bolden came through with the perfect #boldenspaday for myself and my girls Samilia, Victoria, and Regi. I have a wonderful group of girlfriends, and they’re all also mamas that I knew would enjoy a little break from the hustle and bustle of work and mom life as well.
Before the ladies arrived, I relaxed in the plush white robe and Bolden AWAKE Under Eye Patches (they promote a brighter, more radiant, and youthful-looking eye area), and ordered some light bites for us to enjoy during our spa day.
Bolden was kind enough to gift everyone their own goodie bag with products and robes as well, so once they got settled in, we ate lunch and took a moment to catch up with a little girl talk while they changed and prepared to be pampered.
We then had a quick zoom call with Ndidi Obidoa, one of the owners, and popped a bottle of bubbly to kick things off!
Bolden is a Black-owned brand, so it was important that Black women and Black-owned businesses reaped the benefits of this day as well. They enlisted Raw Basics Aesthetics & Wellness for our facials (the owner and I actually grew up together!), while Celestial Touch Massage and JUST LAZE Massage and Body Work handled our massages.
I don’t have to go into too much detail (you can watch the reel recap on my IG), because as you can tell from these photos, the experience was AH-MAZING. Absolutely amazing. It was nice to try out a few new products from Bolden, and the aesthetician and massage therapists had gifted hands. My schedule is getting ready to rev up again with special projects, work and travel (plus normal, day-to-day #Momlife stuff with the kid), so this was a much needed reset.
My body, soul, and mind NEEDED it.
From start to finish, it was the perfect way to kick off my Saturday, and it felt good to also treat my girlfriends with a little pampering as well.
