Saturday Styling: How to Style a Nightstand (Look 2)

It's Saturday and I'm back with the look 2 in this series of Saturday Styling: how to style a nightstand! The reaction to last week's post was amazing so I'm hoping you guys love this just as much!

Remember, styling any nightstand requires the same fundamental elements: lighting, something to corral your end of day or early morning bits, like jewelry or hair ties, and then something pretty! Your nightstand is one of the first things you see every morning and the last thing you see before you sleep, so make it something that gives you happy, calming inspiring thoughts.

Last week's look was all about the perfect set up for a house guest. For this look, I made it all about the lady of the house. All the essentials are still included and within arms reach. She just may have a few more things that need corralling that a temporary guest.

Again, you start with lighting. Something with an articulating arm or shade is a great option that can be adjusted to fit any needed position.

Next, is art. A piece totally reflective of her personality and queen status.

Then, a book. Whether a stack or solo, they are the foundation for every styling need and this one is no different.

Next, add a box with a lid. Especially, since there's a chance that she needs a spot for more than earrings and hair ties. These are great for concealing contact cases, chapstick, hand cream and many other nighttime essentials.

Of course, she still needs a pretty dish for those dedicates like rings and earrings.

And then finish things off with a bit of life, like a gorgeous vase of her favorite flowers.

And that's nightstand fit for a queen.
