Smoked Rosemary Crisp
We love a good bourbon cocktail, so this Smoked Rosemary Crisp Cocktail from Episode 1 of Crafts, Cocktails and Conversation is perfect for the Fall and Holiday season. A simple and refreshing flavor, you’ll want to make this signature cocktail for your next get together at home.
Smoked Rosemary Crisp
Ingredients
2 ounces of bourbon
2 ounces of apple wine
Brûléed apple slices (we used brown sugar)
Smoked rosemary sprig
Tips for brûléeing your apples:
Remove excess moisture from fruit to prevent it from soaking up the sugar.
Slice your fruit before brûléeing to prevent the apple from cracking or the sugar falling off.
If you’re using a kitchen torch, do not add sugar to a new piece of fruit until you finishin brûléeing it to prevent the sugar from dissolving.
Don’t have a kitchen torch? Use your oven! To do this, place your apple slices on a sheet tray and top with sugar. Cook in the oven on a high broil for 5 minutes (watch closely).
Combine the apple wine and your favorite bourbon into a large glass with ice and stir to perfect the flavor. Add this yummy mixture to a lowball glass and garnish with apple slices and rosemary sprig.
Enjoy!
