We're MOVING!!!

Hey guys! After announcing my new employment status (or lack there of), I told you that I'd be back with more big news. Well...

We're moving to MEMPHIS!!!

Giving all praise to God, the hubs just got the official word yesterday that he will be moving from his store management position here in Poplar Bluff, to a Human Resources position based out of his company's Memphis office! So not only does this mean we get to move closer to family (it's actually going back home for me), it also means a more normal schedule for the hubs (finally, we'll know what a weekend looks like)!

And although we're excited about this new news, we're actually terribly sad about leaving Poplar Bluff. Of course, its the place where we began our marriage, shared our first home, the first place where we finally became a family. And this may come as a shock to some, but Poplar Bluff has been one of the best places to live that I've ever experienced. Yes, it's a small, slow-paced little town without a mall, however, it's size makes it 1. easy to navigate (with no traffic to be heard of) 2. easy to find out who's who (and people can tell you're the newbie without you saying a word) 3. it feels like home, no matter where you go. We were blessed to find and join one of the most amazing fellowships at Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church. This place is nothing short of a God-send; and not only to us, but to this entire community. It's lead by Bishop Ronnie Webb, a man with a heart of compassion that's bigger than the state of Texas. Each and every member not only works to keep the church running like a well-oiled machine, they also work to make every person that walks through their doors feel like they belong. Not to mention that it's the only church that I've ever heard of that prepares a full meal (I'm talkin salads, fried chicken, smothered chicken, baked chicken, meatloaf, greens, beans, sweet potatoes, mac-n-cheese, cornbread and every flavor of cake you can think of) for every mouth that wants to be fed on EVERY Sunday...for FREE!!! I'm telling you, if you ever find yourself in Poplar Bluff, MO on a Sunday morning, please pay those beautiful people a visit. I promise, you won't regret it.

So as you can tell, our news is bitter sweet. We've made so many wonderful friends that filled the voids that we had upon moving here. It's already breaking my heart to have to leave them. But, we dare not be strangers once we leave (which won't be until a couple weeks after Labor Day). We'll definitely be back to visit quite often. Poplar Bluff and its people will always have a special place in our hearts.

So, in a couple weeks, it'll be off to Memphis for us! So, if anyone knows of any potential real estate in Memphis or the surrounding areas, let us know!

Xoxo,
Coco
