Before and After: Our Hallway Bathroom Reveal

You guys. It’s kind of the last frontier! This bathroom is the last major project of our home! It’s been a seven year journey and the last major renovation has come to an end. Not only that, I think I saved my best work for last! This bathroom may just be my favorite space in our house!

This bathroom has been through quite a few iterations since we moved here in 2016.

The day we met out home, it looked like this.

As soon as we moved in, it was one of the first spaces I touched. At that time, all we could afford was some paint and new cabinet hardware, but it was definitely an upgrade!

The white walls had be craving interest, so I called my very talented friend, Frances Berry Moreno, to add some personality!

And in 2021, I had the opportunity to work with Velux and HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams, so the space got another transformation! A fresh air solar powered skylight was added and the walls, ceiling, mirror and vanity were updated with new colors.

And this is how it’s looked since then!

While going through the debacle with our primary bathroom, I wanted to go ahead and get everything bathroom related behind me! As soon as that bathroom wrapped, we started demo on this one! I’m grateful that this bathroom was only a fraction of stress as the other. There were some delays but nothing major, like roots in our plumbing system, so it made room for me to think about what I really wanted for the space. And what I wanted was a design that tied our entire home together into one space: modern, bohemian, textured, warm, cultured, elevated.

And I did just that…

I can’t reveal this space without thanking The Tile Shop for gifting me all the new tile and tile supplies for this space. The Tile Shop is an incredible resource for all things tile related. They’re essentially a one stop shop for your tiling needs. The Zellige Charcoal Star and Cross floor tile made the perfect foundation for this bathroom. And the neutral tones of the Riad Ceramic Wall Tile could not have been a better match for the wall tile and ceiling color. It’s the white colorway, but has many variations of tones that make it more of a neutral that can play well in many spaces.

I can’t wait to here what you guys think! Leave any questions or comments below!!!
