They say breakfast is the meal of champions, so if you’re going to go out for it, you gotta make it worth it. Recently I popped into Biscuits and Jams, a locally owned restaurant that is known for their classic Southern options, and their freshly made (in-house!) biscuits and jams.

In addition to their food, the Downtown Memphis location is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes as well. Located inside of Hotel Indigo, Biscuits And Jams’ decor has that tropical vibe with a retro flair. With its brightly patterned wallpaper, curved bar, black and white framed photos and colorful seating area, it’s eclectic and bright without going overboard.

On the Menu

Their breakfast menu is vast but not overwhelming, so in addition to a blueberry mimosa (because why not?!), I had the Rise & Shine (Crispy fried chicken dipped in a sweet and tangy hot sauce on a biscuit) with a side of fruit.

The verdict? Basically… I left no crumbs LOL.
